Women in Micro-entrepreneurship

In West Pokot, women face numerous challenges, from limited economic opportunities to systemic barriers that hinder their progress. To address these issues and unlock their potential, we actively support women in starting and managing micro-enterprises. Our approach involves a rigorous process designed to ensure success and sustainability. It begins with targeted outreach to identify women with the drive and vision to transform their lives and communities. We then provide comprehensive training to equip them with the skills needed to run successful businesses, followed by seed capital to help them launch their ventures. Beyond the initial setup, we offer ongoing mentorship, monitoring, and evaluation to guide them through challenges and ensure their enterprises thrive.
This holistic approach not only enhances women’s economic resilience but also fosters confidence, leadership, and independence. Empowering women entrepreneurs contributes to household stability, improves children’s welfare, and drives community development, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
